Ring sizing

Our rings are made in four sizes: 50, 52, 54 and 56. The number is the inside circumference of the ring in millimetres, so a 52 is a 52 mm circle. Below is how to find yours, and what to do if you fall between two.

Before you measure

  • Measure at the end of the day. Fingers swell slightly as the day goes on, and in warm weather. A ring sized in the morning can feel tight by evening.
  • Measure the finger you'll actually wear it on. Most people's dominant hand is around half a size larger than the other.
  • Check the knuckle. The ring has to pass over it. If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, measure both and choose something between the two.
  • Between two sizes? Go up. A ring slightly too large turns on the finger. A ring slightly too small doesn't go on at all.

Measure a ring you already own

The most reliable method, if you have a ring that fits the right finger.

  1. Choose a ring that sits comfortably on the finger you have in mind — not loose, not tight.
  2. Lay it flat and measure straight across the inside, edge to edge, in millimetres. This is the inner diameter.
  3. Find that measurement in the table below.

Measure your finger

No ring to hand? A strip of paper will do.

  1. Cut a strip of paper about 5 mm wide and 10 cm long.
  2. Wrap it around the base of your finger, snug but not tight, sitting where a ring would.
  3. Mark where the paper overlaps, lay it flat, and measure to the mark in millimetres. This is the inner circumference — and it is your size.

The sizes we make

Our size Inner diameter Inner circumference UK US
50 15.9 mm 50 mm K 5¼
52 16.6 mm 52 mm L½ 6
54 17.2 mm 54 mm N½ 7
56 17.8 mm 56 mm P 7½

International conversions are approximate. The millimetre measurements are the ones to trust.

If you measure an odd number

We make even sizes only. If you measure 51, 53 or 55, take the size above — 51 goes to 52, 53 to 54, 55 to 56.

Our bands are 2.5 mm, which is slim, so a little extra room sits comfortably rather than sliding. If it turns out not to, we'll exchange it.

If it doesn't fit

Send it back within 14 days and we'll exchange it for another size, unworn and in its original packaging.

Ordering from Belgium? Your first exchange is free — we cover the postage both ways. From the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France or Germany, return postage is at your own expense and we cover sending the replacement out to you.

Guessing wrong on a ring you've never held isn't something you should be stuck with. Order the size you think is right, and if it isn't, we'll sort it. Full detail on our shipping & returns page.
